ACDSee Pro 7 delivers total photography control.
ACDSee Pro is a feature-packed and professional graphics package that's designed to help you manage, view, process and share your best digital images.
The program opens with an excellent thumbnail browser that makes it easy to navigate your images. And immediately this will be categorised according to their metadata (assuming there is any), so you can instantly filter your shots by the camera make or model, author, ISO setting, Flash options, focal length and more. A Calendar View shows you images filtered by the date they were taken. And you can also tag and categorise images manually (which includes adding location in this version) to help you better locate and organise them later.
If you've just uploaded a new set of photos then you may prefer to work on them in the View mode, which gives you a large (and optionally full-screen) view of one image, while still providing easy access to ACDSee Pro's other features. So you can right-click an image and tag, rate or categorise it, for instance; carry out basic editing operations (rotate, flip, resize, adjust exposure, convert ICC profile and more); change file format; and send the image via email, upload it to an FTP site, share it on your Flickr account and more.
If you find a particular image isn't up to your usual standards then the Process module will help you improve it. A host of hugely impressive and professional tools will help you to fix perspective and lens distortion problems, correct for lens vignetting, and apply chromatic aberration and defringing fixes, for instance. And you also get options to sharpen, blur or remove noise from an image, along with a red-eye reduction tool, crop and resize options, some excellent tools for tweaking colour and exposure, and a lengthy list of special effects.
Once you've finished, then sharing your images is even easier with ACDSee Pro, thanks to a new Automatic Upload feature that watches specified folders and uploads new images as they appear. You can also upload images manually, though, and the program works with Flickr, SmugMug, and Zenfolio, as well as its own ACDSee Online service, where you get 2GB of online storage space for free.
